Based on a personalized education model, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s specialized pathways help students reach their educational and professional goals. In addition to traditional 2- and 4-year degree programs, the college has added flexible new programs: degree completion for adult learners; training for companies and individuals seeking workforce development; living/learning for post-graduate success; and courses to accelerate a degree.
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Re-Accredited by New England Commission of Higher Education
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø was recently re-accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), marking 68 years since the college was first accredited in 1956. The college was last reviewed in 2013.

Celebrate Black Heritage & Culture at ‘Letting OUR Voices Be Heard’ Event
In honor of Black History Month, “Letting OUR Voices Be Heard,” on Sunday, February 25, will feature dozens of Black performers and Black-owned businesses, including dancers, vocalists, instrumentalists, influential Black speakers, poets, natural hair specialists, visual artists, food trucks and others. Event admission is free, but registration is recommended.
CT Baby Bonds Program Information Session at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø on Feb. 12
Connecticut State Treasurer Erick Russell and economist Darrick Hamilton of The New School will discuss CT Baby Bonds, the first-in-the-nation program to combat generational poverty. The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required by Feb. 3.

Financial Aid Advisor Speaks About Federal Student Loan Forgiveness
Financial Aid Advisor Kristen Mercado presented and spoke on a panel at the 58th Annual State Convention of the Connecticut NAACP, held recently at Foxwoods Resort & Casino. Mercado participated in a one-hour seminar that centered on federal student loan forgiveness, including supporting loan forgiveness to underserved populations.

Now enrolling! Designed for students who have started—but not completed—a degree, this accelerated program offers both a 2-year (A.A.) and a 4-year (B.A.) degree. Two options are available for focused study in high-demand career tracks: (1) Business and (2) Health and Human Services.

Children’s Learning Center Welcomes New Director
The Children’s Learning Center at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø recently welcomed Jill Fidrych as its new director. In her role, she will oversee the operations of the center and lead the staff in providing a nurturing and safe educational environment for its preschool program.
